    Best heart care centre in Chennai

    Department of Cardiology at Meridian, provides the best cardiac care with non-invasive, minimally invasive & interventional treatment modalities, which makes us one of the finest cardiac care hospitals in Chennai.

    Armed with state-of-the-art equipment to support all the treatment levels mentioned above, our team of heart specialists brings their expertise to the forefront in performing the most advanced interventional cardiac procedures. These include PTCA (Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty), TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement), TAVI (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation), and pacemaker device implantation for patients of all age groups and much more.

    Surgeries/Procedures we perform

    Cardiac CT/ CT Coronary Angiogram(CTCA):

    CTCA uses a computed tomography (CT) scanner and contrast dye to create detailed cross-sectional images of the coronary arteries. It provides a 3D view of the heart and its blood vessels.

    CAG (X-ray Coronary Angiography):

    X-ray angiography involves threading a catheter through the blood vessels to the coronary arteries and injecting contrast dye directly into the coronary arteries. X-ray images are then captured in real-time as the contrast moves through the vessels..

    CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting):

    A surgical procedure used to improve blood flow to the heart by bypassing blocked or narrowed coronary arteries. It involves grafting healthy blood vessels from another part of the body to bypass the blockages, restoring proper blood supply to the heart muscle.

    PTCA (Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty):

    PTCA (Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty) is a minimally invasive procedure to treat blocked or narrowed coronary arteries. It involves inflating a balloon in the artery to widen it and may include stent placement to maintain blood flow. PTCA helps relieve chest pain and improve heart function without the need for open-heart surgery.

    Pacemaker device implantation:

    Pacemaker implantation is a procedure where a small device is surgically placed under the skin of the chest to help regulate the heart’s rhythm. It sends electrical impulses to maintain a normal heartbeat and is used to treat conditions like bradycardia (slow heart rate) or heart block.

    TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement) / TAVITranscatheter Aortic Valve Implantation:

    TAVR and TAVI are minimally invasive procedures to replace a narrowed aortic valve. These methods avoid traditional open-heart surgery and offer quicker recovery times for patients with aortic valve issues.
